ABOUT US

Ruggie Media is a new independent television production company and was set up in April 2005 by Paul Flexton.

 

Ruggie Media specialises in Entertainment and Factual Entertainment programming and is currently in production with the hit show "Extreme Makeover UK" where participants from across the UK are given a complete overhaul including cosmetic surgery, dentistry, eye surgery and styling and after spending six weeks away from their family and friends are taken home for a big "Reveal".

We have also just began working with the acclaimed Psychic Medium Derek Acorah on his brand new show "Derek Acorah's Ghost Towns" which investigate the haunted towns of Great Britain.

Other projects in Production are "Derek Acorah's Quest for Guy Fawkes" and "Extreme Makeover UK Reunions" for both Series One and Two.

Ruggie Media currently has a staff of 45.

Managing Director
Paul trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and after two years in repertory theatre joined the BBC in the Studio Management department. From the BBC, Paul entered the world independent television working at Real Television and Bazal before joining Channel 4 in 2000.
As a Producer Paul has worked for Endemol, 19 Television, Tiger Aspect and Channel 4 before joining Scream Films in Sept 2002.

Whilst at Scream, where he was Head of Entertainment, he executive produced all the entertainment output including for LIVINGtv, Loose Lips, I'm Famous and Frightened and Extreme Makeover UK Series 1. In April 2005 Paul left Scream Films to set up his own Independent Company and launched Ruggie Media with the second Series of Extreme Makeover UK.

Head of Production
Sean studied TV and Video Production & Media Management before starting his professional career at PolyGram Entertainment working within the Promotions department for the UK and Southern territories. After three years, Sean moved to Eagle Rock Entertainment where he undertook various music programmes and concerts such as Marianne Faithful documentary, Eurythmics Peace Tour, TV Hits Awards, and Prince – ‘Rave into the Joy’

After leaving Eagle Rock, Sean worked as a Production Manager at Channel 4, ITN, Ideal World, Scream Films, Wag TV, Brighter Pictures and Endemol UK where productions included Party In The Park, Fame Academy and Fame Academy – Live, Right To Reply, My Worst Week and a number of documentaries. In April 2005, Sean joined Ruggie Media as a Production Executive before becoming the Head of Production in October 2005
